3) CONSIDERATION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION SETTING THE PROPERTY TAX RATE REQUIRED\nTO MEET THE CITY’S OBLIGATION TO THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT\nSYSTEM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Adopt Resolution No. 8256 establishing the amount necessary to be raised by taxation for\nthe City’s annual payment to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System;\nb. Fix the property tax rate for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 at $0.187613 per $100 of assessed\nvaluation; and\nc. Levy that tax rate upon all taxable property in the City.
