CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 23-13,\nAUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF THE COMMUNITY\nDEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR\n(FY) 2023–24\nProvide the Council with recommendations for the use of the City’s\nestimated FY 2023–24 CDBG allocation, acknowledging the priority of\nneed and eligibility. The Public Notice was posted December 22, 2022.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Conduct a public hearing;\n2. Take public testimony;\n3. Adopt Resolution No. 23-13, Authorizing the Allocation of the\nCommunity Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds for Fiscal Year\n2023-24;\n4. Authorizing Interim City Manager to execute agreement for the Fiscal\nYear 2022–23 CDBG project with the Los Angeles County\nDevelopment Authority (LACDA), subject to approved as to form by the\nCity Attorney; and\n5. Authorize Interim City Manager to adjust the project budget, as\nnecessary, to account for final CDBG allocations and any amounts\nunexpended at the close of FY 2022-23.
