13. CONTRACT AMENDMENT: CITY ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR FY 2022-2023 –\nF2M2-57, C2M2-46, M2M23-143\n7\n8-28-23\nTranstech Engineers provides City Engineering Services to the Public Works Department\non an as needed basis. The original contract for engineering services plan review is\n$200,000.00 in the current Fiscal Year. Transtech invoices the City on an hourly basis,\ndepending on the type and amount of work performed. Due to the increased amount of\nAccessory Dwelling Unit plan checks during Fiscal Year 2022-2023, Transtech work costs\nexceeded the contract amount by $51,774.50. The costs of the additional work are offset\nby project and plan check revenues collected. This amendment covers additional work\nperformed specifically in Fiscal Year 2022-2023.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve an amendment to the Agreement with\nTranstech Engineers for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 for an additional $51,774.50; direct the\nDirector of Finance appropriate additional funding in the amount of $43,377.10, since\n$8,397.40 is available in the fund balance; increase the Purchase Order by $51,774.50 to\ncover the cost of the additional work; authorize the City Manager to sign the Amendment\non behalf of the City Council; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
