9. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: 6th STREET SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT-\nPHASE II – F2M21-47, N2M23-103\nThe Sewer Master Plan identified the Sixth Street sewer main between Front Street and\nValley Boulevard as deficient in capacity and recommends replacement of the existing\nsewer main with a larger diameter sewer main. The sewer main replacement from Front\nStreet to San Marino Avenue was completed in February 2022 as Phase I of the project.\nPhase II will include the Sixth Street sewer main between San Marino Avenue and Valley\nBoulevard. This project will replace approximately 1,630 feet of existing 8-inch sewer main\nwith 15-inch sewer main. Plans and specifications have been prepared; staff has reviewed\nthe plans and found them to be consistent with the City’s standards.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nto qualified contractors for the 6th Street Sewer Main Replacement Project Phase 2 with\nbids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on September 21, 2023, and opened at 11:00 a.m. that\nsame day.
