D. HOME PRESERVATION PROGRAM CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH\nSAN GABRIEL VALLEY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOR THE HAYES HOUSE\nREPAIRS\nThe City of San Gabriel owns the property located at 546 West Broadway,\nwhich is the site of the Hayes House, San Gabriel Historical Museum, and Jail,\nis operated and maintained by the San Gabriel Historical Association (SGHA).\nThe structures are in need of maintenance and repairs. In July 2023, the San\nGabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity informed the City that they will be\nassisting SGHA with some of the repair items. The amount of the contract is\n$7,100. These funds are part of the Fiscal Year 2023-24 adopted general fund\nbudget.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Approve the Home Preservation Program Construction Contract with the\nSan Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity for repair work to the Hayes\nHouse; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to sign the Home Preservation Program\nConstruction Contract.
