ORDINANCE NO. 691 RELATING TO ELECTRONIC AND PAPERLESS FILING\nOF FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION (FPPC) CAMPAIGN\nDISCLOSURE STATEMENTS AND STATEMENTS OF ECONOMIC INTERESTS\n– SECOND READING AND ADOPTION\nOrdinance No. 691 was introduced and the first reading was conducted by\ntitle only by a vote of 4-0 vote of the City Council at the August 15, 2023, City\nCouncil meeting. Ordinance No. 691 would require electronic filing of\ncampaign finance statements and Statements of Economic Interests. The cost\nto add electronic filing of campaign finance statements is $1900 annually.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council waive full reading and adopt\nOrdinance No. 691 adding Chapter 40 “Electronic and Paperless Filing of Fair\nPolitical Practices Commission Campaign Disclosure Statements and\nStatement of Economic Interests” to Title III “Administration” of the San\nGabriel Municipal Code.
