7.3 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES\nAGREEMENT WITH KILEY & ASSOCIATES, LLC, TO PROVIDE FEDERAL\nLEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY SERVICES TO THE CITY\nComments:\nThe City is seeking to amend the agreement with Kiley & Associates to provide federal\nlegislative advocacy services for the City. Staff is recommending Kiley & Associates\nbased upon the professional experience of the firm, the strategic location of the firm in\nWashington, D.C., and the familiarity of the firm with the City of Lynwood. The cost\nproposal from Kiley & Associates includes an annual not-to-exceed consideration of\n$60,000.00 with a monthly rate of $5,000.00. Locally, Kiley & Associates also provides\nfederal legislative advocacy services to the cities of South Gate and Carson.\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve an amended contract services\nagreement with Kiley & Associates, LLC, for Federal Legislative Advocacy Services; and\nauthorize the City Manager sign a three-year agreement on behalf of the City of Lynwood\non a form approved by the City Attorney.
