8. CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL TO PURCHASE A HEAVY-DUTY\nHYDRAULIC LIFT TO REPAIR THE CITY’S LARGE-SCALE VEHICLES AND\nSHUTTLES\nRECOMMENDED THAT CITY COUNCIL:\n1. Pursuant to Huntington Park Municipal Code section 2-5.12 Formal Bid\nProcedures (i): Waive of Bidding. City Council, by a majority vote, may dispense\nwith bidding and other procedures required by this chapter in any individual\ninstance upon finding that it would be impracticable, useless or economically\ninfeasible to follow such procedures and that the public welfare would be\npromoted by dispensing with them; and\n2. Approve the purchasing of a heavy-duty hydraulic lift to repair the City’s large-\nscale vehicles and bus shuttles from Dr. Hydraulics, Inc. for the amount of\n$125,000 payable from Account No. 741-8060-431.74-10; and\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the quote (Attachment 1) the purchase\norder.
