7. ACCEPTANCE OF THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY(OTS) STEP\nGRANT FUNDS\nThe police department applied for and was awarded a traffic enforcement grant through the\nCalifornia Office of Traffic Safety in the amount of $100,000.00 for FY 2023-24. The grant requires\nthat the City Council formally accept these funds by entering into a Grant Agreement and adopting the\nattached Resolution.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff recommendation that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution approving Grant\nAgreement No. PT24013 with the State of California - Office of Traffic Safety, thereby accepting\ngrant funds and authorizing the police department to begin expending these funds toward its Traffic\nSafety Program.
