1. ORDINANCE NO. 938, EXCEPTIONS TO REQUIRED PARKING\nConsideration of an ordinance to accommodate alternative parking types, expand allowable parking\nexceptions related to parking requirements, and implement Bell Gardens General Plan policies and\nprograms to facilitate housing production.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff's recommendation that the City Council:\na. Conduct a duly noticed public hearing;\nb. Waive full reading and introduce Ordinance No. 938 (Exhibit 1) by title only, amending Title 9\n(Zoning and Planning Regulations) of the Bell Gardens Municipal Code (“BGMC”) to comply\nwith required state legislation and Bell Gardens General Plan; and\nc. Find the proposed ordinance is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061.
