5.1 Award of Contract for the Westminster Boulevard Street Improvement Project from\nGoldenwest Street to Hoover Street, No. P-2564.\nRECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council:\nA. Approve the award of contract to the lowest and responsible bidder in the amount of\n$1,123,000.00 to Onyx Paving Company, Inc. and that all other bids be rejected; and\nB. Authorize a 10% contingency in the amount of $112,300.00 for potential change\norders; and\nC. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract on behalf of the City, in a form\napproved by the City Attorney.
