APPROVAL TO PURCHASE SIMUNITION TRAINING FIREARMS AND\nAMMUNITION THROUGH THE USE OF COPS FUND RESERVES\nRecommendation: Staff recommends the City Council authorize the purchase of\nSimunition firearms, associated ammunition and support equipment and approve a\nbudget amendment and appropriation of $9,931 from the COPS Fund reserves to\naccount 233-30-4613-0000 (Capitalized Equipment). If the Council concurs with\nstaff’s recommendation, an appropriate motion would be:\n“I move to authorize the purchase of Simunition firearms, associated ammunition and\nsupport equipment and approve a budget amendment and appropriation of $9,931\nfrom the COPS Fund reserves to account 233-30-4613-0000 (Capitalized\nEquipment).”
