8. ACCEPTANCE AND ALLOCATION OF THE 2023-24 OFFICE OF23-1364\nTRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT FOR THE SELECTIVE TRAFFIC\nENFORCEMENT PROGRAM\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\n1. Approve the proposed Resolution No. 2023-XX, which ratifies the application for\na grant award from the State of California - Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the\nSelective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) and authorize the City Manager\nor designee to execute all grant documents, including the Grant Agreement, and\naccept and administer the grant.\n2. Approve revenue and expense appropriations in the amount of $285,000,\nrespectively, for the 2023-24 OTS STEP Grant.\nAttachments: 1. OTS STEP Grant Agreement - PT24052\n2.
