CITY COUNCIL / CITY CLERK / CITY TREASURER / STAFF REQUESTS &\nCOMMUNICATION\nMayor Estrada seeks consensus from Council to\nDirect staff to look into replacing existing fixed trash receptacles with\nsolar powered trash compacting receptacles withing the public right-of-\nway.\n\nMayor Pro Tem Garcia seeks consensus from Council to:\nâDiscuss the consideration and development of local hire policies for city\nfunded projects, to benefit Baldwin Park residents.\n\nâDiscussion on the purpose of local elected bodies and members of the\nCity Council, as well as roles of each member of the Council as defined by\nthe City's Municipal Code.\n\nCouncilmember Damian seeks consensus from Council to:\nâDirect staff to review the adequacy of the City's garage/yard sales\nregulations (Section 119.02 of the BPMC) in terms of its currently\nallowable frequency once per quarter, on the first weekend of March,\nJune, September, and December.\n\nMayor Estrada, CEO Zaldivar, and Community Services Supervisor Yuriko\nRuizesparza herein report:\nUpdate about their City business travel to the California Contract Cities\nAssociation Fall Educational Summit on September 8 thru September 10,\n2023 in the City of San Diego. Mayor Estrada was a Panelist with the LA\nCounty Supervisor Lindsey Horvath on Homelessness. Other educational\nworkshops included Affordable Housing, Proposed Legislative Actions,\nand Municipal Funding options using Federal Funds.
