10.2 AWARD OF CONTRACT TO SEQUEL CONTRACTORS INC. FOR WRIGHT ROAD\nSTREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FROM FERNWOOD AVE TO DUNCAN AVE\nSTPL-5250(034) (CIP PROJECT NO. 4011.67.911)\nComments:\nWright Road from Fernwood Avenue to Duncan Avenue is in need of rehabilitation due to\nits existing poor conditions. Staff has received approval to use Surface Transportation\nProgram-Local funds to improve Wright Road. Staff has prepared plans and\nspecifications for the Wright Road Improvement Project. With City Council’s approval,\nstaff solicited bids for Construction of the Wright Road Improvement Project. Upon review\nof bids, staff recommends that City Council award the contract to Sequel Contractors, Inc.\nin the amount of $1,651,900.00. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING a\nCONTRACT TO SEQUEL CONTRACTORS INC. FOR THE WRIGHT ROAD STREET\nIMPROVEMENT PROJECT FROM FERNWOOD AVENUE TO DUNCAN AVENUE\nSTPL-5250(034) (CIP PROJECT NO. 4011.67.911); AUTHORIZING THE CITY\nMANAGER TO APPROVE AGREEMENT AMENDMENTS RELATED TO THE PROJECT\nAND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT.”
