b) REPORT AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR CIP 191 ANNUAL\n23-0475 STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO HARDY & HARPER, INC.\n(Public Works Director Joe SanClemente)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Award a construction contract for CIP 191 Annual Street Improvements to Hardy &\nHarper, Inc. in the amount of $1,934,200 (Attachment 5);\n2. Transfer additional funds from CIP 105 Annual Street Improvements in the amount of\n$1,142,210 to CIP 191 Annual Street Improvements;\n3. Authorize the Director of Public Works to establish a 10 percent project contingency in\nthe amount of $193,420 and approve contract change orders up to the amount of the\napproved contract contingency;\n4. Adopt the attached resolution entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of\nHermosa Beach Approving the Construction of CIP 191 Annual Street Improvements\nPursuant to Government Code Section 830.6 and Establishing a Project Payment\nAccount" (Attachment 4);\n5. Authorize the Mayor to execute the construction contract and the City Clerk to attest,\nsubject to approval by the City Attorney; and\n6. Authorize the Director of Public Works to file a Notice of Completion following final\ncompletion of the project.
