m) REPORT ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF\n23-0529 TITLE 17 OF THE HERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING\nTO SHORT-TERM VACATION RENTALS IN COMMERCIAL ZONES\nAND A DETERMINATION THE ORDINANCE IS EXEMPT FROM THE\nCALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA)\n(Community Development Director Carrie Tai)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Waive the full second reading and adopt by title only an ordinance of the City of\nHermosa Beach, California amending portions of Title 17 of the Hermosa Beach\nMunicipal Code relating to short-term vacation rentals in commercial zones and\ndetermine the ordinance is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\n(Attachment 1); and\n2. Direct the City Clerk to print and publish a summary ordinance in a newspaper of\ngeneral circulation within 15 days following adoption and post a copy on the City's\nbulletin for 30 days.
