5C. AUTHORIZE VEHICLE PURCHASES FOR FISCAL YEARS 2023-2024 AND\n2024-2025 AND APPROVE A BUDGET AMENDMENT\n— Recommended Action: 1) Authorize the Purchasing Manager to issue\npurchase orders in the approximate aggregate amount of $750,000, plus\napplicable taxes, for various City vehicles as described herein for the 2023-\n2024 and 2024-2025 fiscal years; 2) Authorize upfitting costs in the\napproximate amount of $19,000 for each Sport Utility Pursuit Patrol Vehicle\n(total of $152,000); 3) Authorize a budget amendment in the approximate\namount of $476,000 to appropriate FY 24-25 vehicle replacement funds to\nFY 23-24; 4) Authorize a budget amendment in the amount of $90,000 as a\n10% contingency for rising vehicle prices; and, 5) Determine that dispensing\nwith competitive bidding pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3.28.080(H) is\nin the best interest of the City due to limited national availability and\nextended lead times for these vehicles.
