AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT WITH BURKE, WILLIAMS, &\nSORENSEN LLP TO CONDUCT INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIONS OF\nCONFIDENTIAL PERSONNEL MATTERS; AND\nAPPROVAL OF A CHANGE PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF\n$48,518.50 FOR A TOTAL NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $128,518.50 FOR\nFISCAL YEAR 2022/2023; AND\nAPPROVAL OF A PURCHASE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $130,000 FOR\nFISCAL YEAR 2023/2024; AND\nAPPROVAL OF AN ONGOING APPROPRIATION FROM THE POLICY,\nADMINISTRATION, AND LEGAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 TO\nBEGIN IN FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024.\nComment: Staff recommends City Council (1) approve an amended and restated\nagreement between the City of Beverly Hills and Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP.,\nfor independent investigations of confidential personnel matters which increases\nthe not to exceed amount to $400,000, (2) approve a change order in the amount\nof $48,518.50 for a total not-to-exceed amount of $128,518.50 for Fiscal Year\n2022/2023, (3) approve a purchase order in the amount of $130,000 for Fiscal Year\n2023/2024, and (4) approve an ongoing appropriation from the Policy,\nAdministration, and Legal Fund in the amount of $100,000 to begin in Fiscal Year\n2023/2024. This agreement is exempt from the bidding requirements under Beverly\nHills Municipal Code Section 3-3-112 (G) (Professional Services).
