5B. RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND APPROVAL\nOF A CONTRACT WITH ONYX PAVING COMPANY, INC. FOR THE CERRITOS\nAVENUE FRONTAGE ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT\n— Recommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving plans and\nspecifications for the Cerritos Avenue Frontage Road Rehabilitation Project;\n2) Award a contract to Onyx Paving Company, Inc. in the amount of\n$515,000.00; 3) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of $52,000.00 in\nthe same purchase order; 4) Authorize construction engineering funds in the\namount of $25,000.00; 5) Authorize a budget transfer of $202,000.00 from\nthe Undesignated Gas Tax Fund; 6) Authorize the City Manager and the City\nAttorney to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the contract;\nand, 7) Authorize the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute the\ncontract.
