16.A Consideration of Approval of Trash Enclosure Pilot Program; Adopt a\nResolution to adopt Waiver of Program Processing Fees for Pilot\nProgram; Direct the City Manager to prepare an Ordinance Amendment\nto the Hemet Municipal Code Related to the conversion of parking to\naccommodate required refuse and recycling bins; and Direct the City\nManager to prepare an Ordinance Amendment to the Hemet Municipal\nCode requiring compliance with the commercial and industrial refuse\nrequirements Citywide within two (2) years of adoption of an Ordinance\nStaff Report #23-339 - Pdf\nRecommendation:\nIt is respectfully recommended that the City Council:\n1. Consider approval to initiate the Trash Enclosure Pilot Program.\n2. Adopt a Resolution to approve the waiver of application and\nprocessing fees associated with the Trash Enclosure Pilot\nProgram.\n3. Direct the City Manager to prepare an Amendment to the Hemet\nMunicipal Code to provide for adequate space for refuse and\nrecyclable materials storage and collection and allow the\nconversion or removal of required parking space with justification.\n4. Direct the City Manager to prepare an Amendment to the Hemet\nMunicipal Code requiring compliance with the commercial and\nindustrial refuse requirements within two (2) years of the adoption\nof an ordinance.
