Community Services and Parks, re: Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity\nAct (WIOA) funds from the State of California, Employment Development\nDepartment (EDD) for the Glendale Youth Alliance and the City of Burbank\n1. Motion Accepting Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds\nfrom the State of California, Employment Development Department in the amount of\n$747,830 from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 to enable the Verdugo Workforce\nDevelopment Board to distribute those funds to the Glendale Youth Alliance and the\n10 10 23\n2 CC\nCity of Burbank; Approving the award of WIOA grant funds to the Glendale Youth\nAlliance in the amount of $607,330 from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 and the City of\nBurbank in the amount of $140,500 from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 as approved\nand recommended by the Verdugo Workforce Development Board; and Authorizing\nthe City Manager, or a designee, to execute all agreements, certifications, and\ndocuments necessary to accept and implement the funding
