Approval of the Purchase of Equipment and Software to Upgrade the Council Chambers\nAudio and Visual System for L28 and Online Streaming.\nRecommendation(s):\nThe City Council approve an additional appropriation amending the annual budget for the\nfiscal year 2023-2024 in the amount to be at most $224,408.62 for the Purchase of\nEquipment to Upgrade the Council Chambers Audio and Visual System for L28 and Online\nStreaming.\nThe City of Lancaster operates a community access station on cable TV known as L28. This\nchannel has been in operation for several years. The City has been using a 3rd party\ncontractor to operate this channel. The City has the desire to upgrade the quality of L28 to\nHD and incorporate more live remote events, such as broadcasting local high school sporting\nevents, press conferences, community gatherings, and events, thereby offering a more\ndynamic and engaging viewing experience for our residents while also promoting community\nspirit and involvement.
