14.d AWARD CONTRACT TO SPORTS FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, INC., 405\nFOR THE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION OF THE PALM DESERT\nAQUATIC CENTER\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Award a contract to Sports Facilities Management, Inc., for the\nmanagement and operations of the Palm Desert Aquatic Center\n(PDAC) for a term of five years (plus five 1-year extensions) in the\nannual fee of $264,000 in Year 1 and a 5% increase each year in\nYears 2-5.\n2. Authorize appropriation to Palm Desert Aquatic Center Operational\nAccount No. 2424549-4309300 in the amount of $93,500.\n3. Authorize transfer from Unobligated General Fund Reserves in the\namount of $93,500 to Palm Desert Aquatic Center to facilitate the\ncontract increase.\n4. Authorize the City Manager to review and approve written contract\namendment and change order requests for unanticipated\nconditions.\n5. Authorize the City Attorney to make non-substantive changes to\nthe contract.\n6. Authorize the Mayor to execute said agreement.
