2.H. 2024 ARTS GRANT FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS - ARTS\nPROJECT, COMMUNITY ARTS, ORGANIZATIONAL\nDEVELOPMENT, AND TRANSGENDER ARTS INITIATIVE\nGRANTS [L. BIERY, R. EHEMANN, E. ANGELOFF]:\nThe City Council will consider ratifying the recommendations of the\nArts and Cultural Affairs Commission for funding the 2024 Arts\nGrant Program - Arts Project, Community Arts, Organizational\nDevelopment, and Transgender Arts Initiative Grants.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve recommendations of the Arts\nand Cultural Affairs Commission to award Arts Project Grants\ntotaling $70,000 at various funding amounts to nine (9) nonprofit\narts organizations as outlined in this staff report; 2) Approve\nrecommendations of the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission to\naward Transgender Arts Initiative Grants totaling $26,900 at various\nfunding amounts to five (5) artists and nonprofit arts organizations\nas outlined in this staff report; 3) Approve recommendations of the\nArts and Cultural Affairs Commission to award Community Arts\nGrants totaling $21,000 at various funding amounts to four (4)\nnonprofit arts organizations as outlined in this staff report; 4)\nAuthorize an additional hour of validated parking for event\nparticipants at the West Hollywood Park 5-Story parking structure,\nfor a total of three (3) hours, for grant funded events scheduled for\nthe Council Chambers which exceed two (2) hours; 5) Allow\ngrantees to charge admission, accept donations, and sell\nmerchandise to offset production costs for performances or\nprojects; and 6) Approve the waiver of fees for use of the West\nHollywood Library Public Meeting Room (Council Chambers) and\nother City facilities for specific performances and presentations by\ngrantees in fulfillment of their Art Grant projects as indicated in this\nstaff report.\nSTAFF REPORT
