7. AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF FOUR UTILITY WORK TRUCKS – F2M23-6A,\nC2M23-82, M2M23-182\nThe FY 2023-24 budget includes the replacement of four utility service body trucks for the\nPublic Works and Utilities Department. The utility trucks to be replaced are old and have\nexceeded their expected useful life. Staff is seeking to purchase the utility body trucks\nthrough a cooperative purchase agreement. Cooperative purchase is allowable per\nAlhambra Municipal Code 3.36.080(B)(3). On September 15, 2021, Sourcewell opened\nfour bids for the procurement of vehicles, cars, vans, SUVs, and light trucks with related\nequipment, accessories, and services. Sourcewell awarded contract 091521-NAF to\nNational Auto Fleet Group on November 4, 2021 - a contract that does not expire until\nNovember 8, 2025. Per the Sourcewell bid specifications, there is the option of purchasing\nvehicles and related accessories. Staff is recommending purchasing four utility work trucks\nutilizing this option.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to National Auto Fleet Group for the\npurchase of four utility work trucks in the amount of $286,236.52; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
