AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION FOR GRANT APPLICATION(S) UNDER\nCALRECYCLE’S SB 1383 LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM – F2M23-18,\nR2M23-52\nThe Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) offers the SB 1383\nLocal Assistance Grant Program to provide funding to local jurisdictions to assist with the\nimplementation of regulation requirements associated with SB 1383. The City of Alhambra\nis implementing various measures to achieve the state-mandated waste diversion goals.\nFor the current cycle of the SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant Program, the tentative funding\nestimate for the City is $152,477.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the submittal of application(s) to the\nDepartment of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) SB 1383 Local\nAssistance Grant Program; adopt Resolution No. R2M23-52 entitled: A Resolution of the\nCity Council of the City of Alhambra authorizing submittal of application(s) to CalRecyle\nfor the SB 1383 Local Assistance Grant Program, enabling the submittal of such\napplication(s) to CalRecycle; and, direct and authorize staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize the Council’s action.
