6. AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF FOUR POLICE PATROL VEHICLES – F2M23-\n6A, C2M23-81, M2M23-181\nThe FY 2023-2024 budget includes the replacement of police patrol vehicles. Staff is\nseeking to purchase four police patrol vehicles to replace the aging vehicles through a\ncooperative purchase agreement. Cooperative purchase is allowable per Alhambra\nMunicipal Code 3.36.080(B)(3). On September 15, 2021, Sourcewell opened four bids for\nthe procurement of vehicles, cars, vans, SUVs, and light trucks with related equipment,\naccessories, and services. Sourcewell awarded contract 091521-NAF to National Auto\nFleet Group on November 4, 2021 - a contract that does not expire until November 8,\n2025. Per the Sourcewell bid specifications, there is the option of purchasing police\nvehicles. Staff is recommending purchasing four police vehicles utilizing this option.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to National Auto Fleet Group for the\npurchase of four police patrol vehicles in the amount of $201,528.68; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
