15. CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL OUTREACH SERVICES TO\nADVANCE THE SR-710 TERMINUS CONCEPT PROJECT AND APPROPRIATE\nFUNDS – F2M19-32, C2M20-42, M2M23-185\nThe City of Alhambra has been working with Advocacy since 2020 for community outreach\nsubject to the City’s work to advance the SR-710 Terminus concepts, which efforts include\nstakeholder and community meetings and updates via the Advancing Alhambra website.\nThe original contract amount was for $200,000 and includes an option to extend services\nthrough 2025. Staff is seeking to retain the contract with Advocacy for ongoing project\noutreach, particularly as the City’s SR-710 Terminus concepts advance. The contract\nperformance by Advocacy has been satisfactory to the needs of the City.\n8\n10-23-23\nRecommended Action: City Council approve an amendment, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to the agreement with\nAdvocacy (C2M20-42) for ongoing community outreach specific to the SR-710 Terminus\nProject; authorize the contract term through August 26, 2024; authorize an additional\n$25,000 in contract costs and appropriations; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
