11. AUTHORIZE RFP: PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES TO DEVELOP THE\nLOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN – F2M23-70, RFP2M23-25\nStaff applied for a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program grant in the amount of $135,450 with\na match commitment of $15,050. The grant application was approved for funding. On\nOctober 9, 2023, the City Council accepted the grant. Staff is seeking to solicit proposals\nfor a firm to provide professional consulting services to develop Alhambra’s Local Hazard\nMitigation Plan as outlined in 44 CFR Part 201 and pursuant to the Federal Emergency\nManagement Agency’s current hazard mitigation plan guidance.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the distribution of a Request for\nProposals to qualified firms to develop the City of Alhambra Local Hazard Mitigation Plan;\nand, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
