10) Authorize the Design and Installation of the Security and Data System in the\nEmergency Operations Center Building Project (CIP Project #Z20036)\n1. Waive Competitive Bidding Procedures pursuant to Section 3.08.070(G) of the Lake\nElsinore Municipal Code based on the system benefits outlined in the staff report,\nincluding the fact that the design and installation of the security and data system\nservices are available through the City’s previously selected provider ensuring\ncompatibility, efficiency and cost savings; and,\n2. Award a Public Works construction agreement to AK Security Alarm LLC for the\ndesign and installation of the security and data system Emergency Operation Center\n(EOC) Building Project (CIP Project #Z20036); and\nCity of Lake Elsinore Page 4\nCity Council Agenda - Final October 24, 2023\n3. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement for a not-to-\nexceed amount of $170,000.00 with AK Security Alarm LLC in the form attached,\nand in such final form as approved by the City Attorney; and,\n4. Authorize the City Manager to execute change orders not to exceed a 10%\ncontingency amount of $17,000.00 for construction uncertainties and adjustments.
