9. CURBING DOG WASTE ORDINANCE No. 1123, AMENDING SECTION 6.16.120, FIRST\nREADING - Currently, the La Verne Municipal Code Title 6 ANIMALS, does not include a\nsection pertaining to curbing dog waste. To maintain quality of life and sanitary public\nspaces, the proposed ordinance authorizes the regulation of dog waste and implements\npenalties for violations.\nRECOMMENDATION: That the City Council introduce by title only, waive further reading\nand place on first reading Ordinance No. 1123, entitled, “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY\nCOUNCIL, CITY OF LA VERNE, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,\nAMENDING CHAPTER 6.16 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LA VERNE\nRELATIVE TO DOG WASTE.”
