2. FINANCE COMMITTEE: AMEND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT’S FISCAL YEAR 2024 OPERATING\nBUDGET BY RECOGNIZING REVENUE AND APPROPRIATING $43,334 IN GRANT FUNDS FROM THE\nEDWARD\nBYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM (Police Dept.)\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n(1) Find that the project proposed in the agenda report is exempt under the California Environmental\nQuality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), the “Common Sense” exemption that CEQA applies only to\nprojects that\nmay have an effect on the environment;\n(2) Authorize the City Manager to execute all grant-related documents pertaining to the Edward Byrne\nMemorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) award in the amount of $43,334; and\n(3) Amend the Police Department’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Operating Budget by recognizing revenue\nand appropriating $43,334 in the General Fund (101).
