13. AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF A CCTV TRUCK FOR SEWER INSPECTIONS\n– F2M23-6A, C2M23-88, M2M23-194\nThe 2023-24 Fiscal Year budget includes the replacement of the CCTV sewer inspection\ntruck. Staff is seeking to purchase a CCTV sewer inspection truck to replace existing truck\nthat has experienced both mechanical and technical issues with the camera system due\nto the age of the truck and equipment through a cooperative purchase agreement.\nCooperative purchase is allowable per Alhambra Municipal Code Section 3.36.080(B)(3).\nOn December 7, 2021, Sourcewell opened nine bids for the procurement of Underground\nInfrastructure Inspection and Rehabilitation Equipment with Related Services. Sourcewell\nawarded contract 120721-EVS to Best Equipment Company (LLC Envirosight) on January\n7, 2022 - a contract that does not expire until January 7, 2025. Haaker Equipment\nCompany is a sole source vender for Envirosight equipment and software.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Haaker Equipment Company for the\npurchase of a CCTV Truck for Sewer Inspections in the amount of $268,651.69; direct the\nFinance Director to appropriate funds from the Sewer Fund Balance in the amount of\n$68,651.69; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M23-194)
