16. REJECT PROPOSALS RECEIVED AND REAUTHORIZE A REQUEST FOR\nPROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF\nFURNITURE, FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT – F2M23-\n64, RFP2M23-22, RFP2M23-28, M2M23-198\n10\n11-13-23\nOn August 28, 2023, the City Council authorized the distribution of a Request for\nProposals (RFP) for the purchase, delivery, and installation of furniture, fixtures and\nequipment for the Police Department facility. On October 9, 2023, two qualified proposals\nwere received. However, the proposal amounts were significantly above the budget\navailable for the project. As a result, staff requests that the City Council reject the\nproposals received and authorize the distribution of a new RFP for the project. Staff will\nrevise the RFP with the scope of work reduced and further clarification added.\nRecommended Action: City Council reject the proposals received in response to\nRFP2M23-22; authorize the distribution of a new Request for Proposals (RFP2M23-28)\nfor the purchase delivery and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment for the Police\nDepartment facility; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s\naction.
