AUTHORIZE RFP: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE\nSEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT ON ALMANSOR STREET – F2M23-74,\nRPF2M23-29\nThe Sewer Master Plan identified the sewer main on Almansor Street at Lindaraxa Park\nhas a lower slope and may cause the system to be surcharged during peak wet weather\nconditions. Therefore, it recommended the slope of the pipe be increased so that the\nsystem does not back up and cause a spill in the future. As part of the City of Alhambra’s\nUtilities Department ongoing capital improvement program, this project will provide:\nengineering design, plans, and preparation of bid specifications for the replacement of\napproximately 300 feet of existing 8-inch sewer main.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Request for\nProposals (RFP) for Professional Engineering Design Services for the Sewer Main\nReplacement Project on Almansor Street, with proposals due no later than 4:00 p.m. on\nDecember 7, 2023; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the\nCouncil’s action.
