4D. RATIFY AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF\nTRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) FOR THE SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT\nPROGRAM (STEP) GRANT\nAuthorize the Police Department to receive grant funding for STEP enforcement\noperations. The proposed agreement is in the amount of $160,000 and will fully\nreimburse STEP program-related activities.\n— Recommended Action: 1) Ratify an agreement with the State of California\nOffice of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program\n(STEP) Grant (PT24021); 2) Authorize the City Manager and City Attorney to\nmake any non-monetary changes to the grant agreement; 3) Authorize the\nCity Manager, Finance Director, and Traffic Sergeant to execute the\nagreement and all other necessary grant documents; and, 4) Approve a\nbudgetary action to appropriate grant funds in the amount of $160,000.
