b) REPORT ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT\n23-0611 TO THE JILK HEAVY CONSTRUCTION, INC. CONSTRUCTION\nCONTRACT FOR CIP 629 MUNICIPAL PIER STRUCTURAL\nREPAIRS AND CIP 660 MUNICIPAL PIER ELECTRICAL REPAIRS\nAND APPROVE ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS THERETO\n(Public Works Director Joe SanClemente)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt a resolution approving the First Amendment to the Jilk Heavy Construction, Inc.\n(Jilk) Construction Contract for CIP 629 Municipal Pier Structural Repairs and CIP 660\nMunicipal Pier Electrical Repairs in the not-to-exceed amount of $268,511 (Attachment\n1);\n2. Approve an additional appropriation of $268,511 to CIP Project 629 Municipal Pier\nStructural Repairs from the RTI Under Sea Cable Fund and Capital Improvement Fund, to\nfund a concrete deck panel removal and replacement per a proposed change order\n(Attachment 4) from Jilk; and\n3. Authorize the Mayor to execute the first amendment to the proposed contract and the\nCity Clerk to attest, subject to approval by the City Attorney.
