j) REPORT ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HERMOSA\n23-0658 BEACH AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION(S) FOR ALL\nSTATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES,\nRECYCLING, AND RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE) GRANTS FOR\nWHICH THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH IS ELIGIBLE AND\nAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM CALRECYCLE\nSB 1383 LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANT\n(Environmental Programs Manager Douglas Krauss)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt a resolution of the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach authorizing\nsubmittal of application(s) for all State of California Department of Resources, Recycling\nand Recovery (CalRecycle) grants for which the City of Hermosa Beach is eligible\n(Attachment 1);\n2. Accept $75,000 in Round 2 grant funds from CalRecycle;\n3. Approve estimated revenue of $75,000 in the Grant Fund;\n4. Appropriate $75,000 in Round 2 grant funds to the City Manager's Office Department\nbudget for Fiscal Year 2023-24 for implementation of organic waste recycling programs;\nand\n5. Appropriate $28,442 in Round 1 grant funds to the City Manager's Office Department\nbudget for Fiscal Year 2023-24 for implementation of organic waste recycling programs.
