ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10 (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) OF THE BUENA\nPARK MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING LIMITED TIME PARKING REGULATIONS\nAND ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH A NO PARKING ZONE FROM\n12 AM TO 6 AM ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF COMMONWEALTH AVENUE FROM\nAUTO CENTER DRIVE TO BEACH BOULEVARD\nPresented by Norm Wray, Senior Engineering Technician/GIS Specialist\nPurpose: Authorize the Public Works Department to limit the impact of overnight parking\non local businesses on the southside of Commonwealth Avenue from Auto Center Drive\nto Beach Boulevard. There is no budget impact associated with this item.\nRecommended Action: 1) Adopt an ordinance amending Title 10 (Vehicles and Traffic)\nof the Buena Park Municipal Code to permit the establishment of no parking zones; 2)\nAdopt a resolution establishing a no parking zone on the south side of Commonwealth\nAvenue from Auto Center Drive to Beach Boulevard between the hours of 12 AM and 6\nAM; and 3) Find such actions categorically exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) under Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines (Class 1 Exemption).
