5.8 PUBLIC WORKS AGREEMENT WITH TRANE U.S. INC. DBA TRANE\nFOR THE DIAMOND BAR CENTER AC REPLACEMENT & AIR\nQUALITY UPGRADES PROJECT.\nRecommended Action:\nA. Determine that approving the Construction Agreement for the\nproposed project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct pursuant to Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines;\nB. Appropriate an additional $606,670 from General Fund, for a total\nconstruction budget of $1,356,670;\nC. Adopt Resolution No. 2023-35 approving the Diamond Bar Center AC\nReplacement & Air Quality Upgrade Project (FP22501C) with Trane\nU.S. Inc. dba Trane; and\nD. Approve, and authorize the City Manager to sign, the Public Works\nAgreement with Trane U.S. Inc. dba Trane for the DBC AC\nReplacement & Air Quality Upgrades Project, in a not-to-exceed\ncontract amount of $1,292,067, plus a contingency amount of $64,603\n(5%) to be approved by the City Manager.\nRequested by: Public Works Department
