A. Award Bid and Contract to Vellutini Corporation for Replacement and Maintenance of Airport Runway\nLighting and Controls\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption pursuant to Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities),\nand 15302 (Replacement/Reconstruction) of the California Environmental Quality Act\n(CEQA) Guidelines.\n2. Award Bid #SP2496 to Vellutini Corporation (dba Royal Electric) for the replacement and\nmaintenance of Airport runway lighting and controls for the Public Works Department.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a contract with Vellutini\nCorporation, in an amount not to exceed $647,758, including a $58,887 contingency, for\nthe construction of the new lighting system.\n4. Authorize the Director of Public Works to issue any necessary change orders to complete\nadditional work within contract authority.\n5. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement with Vellutini\nCorporation, in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for three years, with two additional\none-year renewal options in the amount of $100,000, to maintain and repair runway\nlighting and controls, on the same terms and conditions, for a total amount not to exceed\n$250,000 over a five-year period, with future year funding contingent on Council budget\napproval.\nStaff Report Printout\na.
