5.2. Request City Council Authorization to Submit a Community Development Block\nGrant Application to the Riverside County Department of Housing and Workforce\nSolutions for Program Years 2024-2025\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to submit an application to the Riverside County\nDepartment of Housing and Workforce Solutions (HWS) for a Community\nDevelopment Block Grant (CDBG) allocation for the Sallee Park Playground\nImprovement Project;\n2. Approve and Authorize the City Manager to submit a CDBG application for the\nVoices for Children Riverside County Court Appointed Special Advocate Project\nfor the requested amount of $10,000, subject to the conditions of the CDBG\nprogram as provided by the Riverside County Department of Housing and\nWorkforce Solutions program; and,\n3. Approve and Authorize the City Manager to submit a CDBG application for the\nBoys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley (DBA the Boys & Girls Club of Inland\nValley) scholarship program for the requested amount of $25,000, subject to the\nconditions of the CDBG program as provided by the Riverside County\nDepartment of Housing and Workforce Solutions program.\nDepartment: Community Development
