9.3 APPROVAL OF THE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nMETROPOLITAN TRANSIT AUTHORITY FOR THE SAFE STREETS AND ROADS\nFOR ALL PROGRAM FUNDS, FUNDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LYNWOOD\nVISION ZERO ACTION PLAN\nComments:\nOn February 1, 2023, the United States Department of Transportation announced the\ngrant rewards under the “Safe Streets for All” Program. The grant agreement will provide\n$203,868 in funding to the City for the Lynwood Vision Zero Action Plan. Staff is\nrecommending that the City Council approve the funding agreement with Los Angeles\nCounty Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) for the funding of the Lynwood\nVision Zero Action Plan. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING\nTHE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN\nTRANSIT AUTHORITY FOR THE SAFE STREETS AND ROADS FOR ALL PROGRAM\nFUNDS TO FUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LYNWOOD VISION ZERO ACTION\nPLAN.”
