A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BELL GARDENS ESTABLISHING A POLICY THAT\nDELEGATES TORT LIABILITY CLAIMS HANDLING RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE\nCALIFORNIA JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY (CJPIA) AS AUTHORIZED BY\nGOVERNMENT CODE SECTIONS 910, ET SEQ.\nDelegation of authority to the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CJPIA).\nRecommendation:\nIt is the staff’s recommendation that the City Council approve the attached Resolution, establishing\na policy that delegates tort liability claims handling responsibilities to the CJPIA as authorized by\nGovernment Code sections 910 et seq.
