AUTHORIZE RFP: CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND CONSTRUCTION\nINSPECTION SERVICES FOR PEDESTRIAN COUNTDOWN SIGNAL HEADS AT\nVARIOUS SIGNALIZED INSTERSECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY (FEDERALLY\nFUNDED PROJECT HSIP-5130(022)) – F2M23-73, RFP2M23-30\nOn November 13, 2023, the City Council approved the circulation of the Notice of Inviting\nBids for construction of the Pedestrian Countdown Signal Head Systems Project at various\nintersections throughout the City (HSIP-5130(022)). Once installed, these signals will help\npedestrians assess if there is sufficient time to cross the street. The project consists of\ninstalling countdown signal heads at various intersections throughout the City. Pursuant\nto the project, staff is seeking to distribute a Request for Proposals for Construction\nManagement and Construction Inspection Services.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the distribution of a Request for\nProposals for Construction Management and Construction Inspection Services for the\nPedestrian Countdown Signal Head at Various Signalized Intersections throughout the\nCity (Federally Funded Project HSIP-5130(022)), with proposals due no later than 4:00\np.m. on January 18, 2024.
