AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF MOTOROLA MOBILE RADIOS FOR THE\nPOLICE DEPARTMENT – F2M23-6B, N2M23-128, C2M23-92, M2M23-202\nOn October 23, 2023, the City Council authorized the circulation of a Notice Inviting Bids\nfor the purchase of Motorola mobile radios. The project will upgrade the City’s fifty-seven\nPolice Department mobile radios. On November 16, 2023, the City Clerk received one bid\nfrom Motorola Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $424,379.42. The bid includes the Los\nAngeles County discount of 27% for government agencies. Staff has reviewed the bid and\nfound it is in full compliance and conformance with the bid specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Motorola Solutions, Inc. in the amount\nof $424,379.42 for the purchase of Motorola radios; authorize the Chief of Police to\nexecute said agreement; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
