9B. CONSIDERATION OF EXTENSION OF EXPIRED COMMERCIAL CANNABIS\nPERMITS\nAt the October 24, 2023, City Council meeting, Mayor Shawver requested that a\ndiscussion regarding a review and update of the City’s current cannabis ordinance be\nagendized for discussion. At the November 14, 2023, City Council meeting, per the\ndiscussion, the City Council directed staff to bring back an agenda report focused on the\npossible extension of recently expired cannabis permits.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this item is not subject to California Environmental Quality Act\n(“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(5)(Organizational or administrative\nactivities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in\nthe environment); and\n2. Provide direction to staff regarding the extension of expired commercial cannabis\nbusiness permits.\nDecember 12, 2023
