6I. AUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR CONSTRUCTION: PREMIER PARK\nRENOVATION PROJECT AND APPROVAL OF CONTRACT AMENDMENT #1 WITH\nRJM DESIGN GROUP\nThe plans and specifications for the Premier Park Renovation Project are complete. The\nCity Engineer is recommending City Council approve the specifications and plans for\nbidding, subject to revision by the City Engineer and the City Attorney, to ensure the\nconstruction contract is awarded in an efficient and timely manner. To ensure\nconstruction of the Project is in conformance with the design, staff is recommending\napproval of a First Amendment to RJM Design Group, Inc.’s to extend the term of their\nAgreement.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”), Class 1, Section 15301 as an alteration of existing public facility and\nClass 2, Section 15302(c) as reconstruction of existing facility; and\n2. Approve the bid specifications and plans, subject to revisions required by the City\nEngineer and the City Attorney; and\nDecember 12, 2023\n3. Authorize and advertise for bids the Premier Park Renovation Project (Task Code\nNo. 2022-206); and\n4. Approve the First Amendment to the existing agreement with RJM Design Group\nand allow the City Attorney to make minor edits as necessary prior to the execution\nof the Amendment; and\n5. Authorize the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to the existing\nAgreement with RJM Design Group, Inc.
