AGREEMENT WITH ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT (OCSD)\nTO TRANSFER FUNDS RELATED TO THE 2023 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL\nJUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM FOR SUPPLEMENTAL\nFUNDING FOR THE LEASING OF FLOCK AUTOMATED LICENSE PLATE READER\n(ALPR) TECHNOLOGY\n— Recommended Action: 1) Approve an agreement with the Orange County\nSheriff’s Department (OCSD) to transfer funds for the 2023 Edward Byrne\nMemorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program for supplemental funding\nfor the leasing of Flock Automated License Plate Reader technology to assist\nin criminal investigations and identify suspects involved in criminal activity;\n2) Authorize the City Manager and City Attorney to make any necessary,\nnon-monetary changes to the agreement; 3) Authorize the City Manager to\nexecute the agreement; 4) Approve a budgetary action to appropriate funds\nin the amount of $16,948.00; and 5) Authorize the police department to work\nwith the vendor, Flock, to secure additional technology.
